You may be asking, why the name change?

What is the motivation? The answer is simple: There is a huge number of pregnant women in our area who think abortion is their only option, and we’re not reaching enough of them.  Too many women never even know that help is available before it’s too late. We hear too many times from post-abortive women and men, “if only I had known a place like this was there for me - if only I’d known that I wouldn’t be alone.”

The Holy Spirit has revealed that one of the barriers to women and men finding us, and feeling comfortable in contacting us, was our name (Pregnancy Care Center).  

Our target audience (sexually active women in their twenties, who don’t want to be pregnant) either think that we only offer prenatal care (which we don’t provide), or pregnancy is just so far off their radar that seeing pregnancy in our name is causing them to write us off as irrelevant. And, when we’re connecting with men and fathers, having pregnancy in our name can make them feel like they don’t belong.

We are keenly aware that only the Holy Spirit can transform hearts and change minds, BUT we believe we can, and must, give as many people as possible the opportunity to experience God’s love, to see their baby for themselves and receive the information and medical services they need to choose a life-affirming pregnancy option.  

We believe God will draw more women and men to Him through Thrive Medical Clinic.

We firmly believe that Thrive Medical Clinic remains a ministry belonging to God. His guidance and direction are actively sought in everything that we do.

Thrive Medical Clinic continues as a professional medical clinic, dedicated to serving women and their unborn children in the Grand Traverse Area. We believe that every life is fashioned by God and is precious from the moment of conception to the last breath. We operate according to the highest standard of care and integrity. As an affiliate of CareNet and National Institute of Family Life Advocates, we are equipped to navigate the unique challenges that surround serving women and men in unplanned pregnancies.
