Hurray!
It feels so good to finally share our new name, Thrive Medical Clinic.
The vision of Thrive Medical Clinic (TMC) is to give every woman and man considering abortion the opportunity to confirm their pregnancy through an ultrasound and to connect and see their child as a person, not just a choice. We want them to learn about their pregnancy options from a source that doesn’t profit from or push abortion, and to learn about the realistic solutions, practical resources and loving support that would empower them to parent their child, or make an adoption plan. We want them to Thrive, not just survive.
Through Thrive Medical Clinic, you can equip women to make choices with courage and confidence, instead of fear and desperation.

You may be asking, why the name change?
Over the years, we have heard from women and men who believe that abortion is their only option when facing an unplanned pregnancy. We know that the name Pregnancy Care Center is a barrier to women and men finding us – because they don’t think they want, nor can, continue with the pregnancy.
And, it breaks our heart to hear post-abortive women reflect that, “if only I had known a place like this was there for me – if only I’d known that I wouldn’t be alone.”
We are keenly aware that only the Holy Spirit can transform hearts and change minds, BUT we believe we can, and must, give as many people as possible the opportunity to experience God’s love, to see their baby for themselves and receive the information and medical services they need to choose a life-affirming pregnancy option.
We believe God will draw more women and men to Him through Thrive Medical Clinic.
What’s next for Thrive Medical Clinic?
Marketing Blitz (Fall-winter 2021)
Over the summer, we will be launching new websites, social media, printed materials and adding new signage that capitalizes on the fantastic location of our building next to Front Street, Rite Aid and Starbucks – our goal is to get our new name out into the community!
Expanding our Clinic Space AND Capacity (Summer – Fall 2021)
An incredible amount of work and prayer has been put into ensuring that our new marketing endeavors will be effective, and we are preparing for a big increase in women and men reaching out for appointments. Our current office just isn’t big enough to meet expected patient appointment demands.
Amazingly, for the first time in over a decade, the front suite of our current building became available, and we took a leap of faith and have plans for an amazing expansion that doubles our space.
We are adding an additional Patient Care room that will double our appointment capacity and adding a new Prayer room set apart for the Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen us as we engage in spiritual warfare each day.
Offering a New Medical Service – Abortion Pill Reversal (fall 2021)
Thrive Medical Clinic is thrilled to partner with our Medical Director, Dr. Peter Bump, in offering an amazing second chance for women who have begun the medication abortion procedure and regret that decision. This is perhaps the last chance for these precious unborn babies to live!
Abortion Pill Reversal is an amazing life-saving protocol designed to reverse the effects of the first abortion pill medication before the second, and final, abortion-inducing medication is taken that would complete the termination of a pregnancy within the first 10 weeks of development. According to the American Pregnancy Association, Abortion Pill Reversal has a 62% success rate in stopping the medication abortion (also known as RU-486) and allowing the baby to live and the woman to be spared of having made a life-ending decision.
Thrive Medical Clinic will be the only clinic in northwest lower Michigan, north of Grand Rapids, to offer this life-saving intervention.

Thrive Medical Clinic continues as a professional medical clinic, dedicated to serving women and their unborn children in the Grand Traverse Area. We believe that every life is fashioned by God and is precious from the moment of conception to the last breath. We operate according to the highest standard of care and integrity. As an affiliate of CareNet and National Institute of Family Life Advocates, we are equipped to navigate the unique challenges that surround serving women and men in unplanned pregnancies.
