Thrive’s Learning Portal

for Individuals & Churches

Welcome!

Our dream for Traverse City and the surrounding areas is that no one in an unplanned pregnancy would have to walk alone, and that anyone considering an abortion due to lack of support would be overwhelmed by the loving response and tangible help of the body of Christ.

One of the most powerful ways to empower abundant life is by becoming a safe place for someone in an unplanned pregnancy. When people feel safe to confide in a friend, receive godly encouragement, and experience sacrificial support, they are empowered to choose life — and families are strengthened.

Below are resources for individuals and churches. We encourage everyone to start by reading our digital booklet, Becoming a Safe Place.

Read the Booklet

Learn How to Be a Safe Place for Someone in an Unplanned Pregnancy.

The Patient Story Videos, and the Thrive Awareness Flyer will help reassure anyone in a current or future unplanned pregnancy that their church is a safe place for them to share their situation and receive support. The Safe Place Booklet for congregants/individuals (along with the Safe Place slides and 3-week study guide for small group or classroom settings), and the Church Leader Guide will equip members and leaders of the faith community to cultivate a biblical and loving narrative before, during and after their unplanned pregnancy.

The Youth Group/Young Adult Lesson Guide helps churches cultivate a safe place culture among the next generation. Our devotional for those grieving a past abortion, and our Putting Love into Action list helps further mobilize the body of Christ to care for their brothers and sisters before, during and after an unplanned pregnancy.
